Innovating digital banking solutions and compliance

We worked with a compliance management service startup that helps mid-size businesses to evaluate their business partners and have a risk-free collaboration.

Goal

Our client wanted to develop new software for compliance solutions, so they asked for our help. We converted their ideas into effective software that solves actual business problems, like onboarding new business partners safely and monitoring their existing partnership.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was getting an in-depth understanding of the nuances of compliance rules. Then we used this knowledge to design a clear and easy-to-use interface.

Outcome

In our year-long collaboration, we designed essential features for risk evaluation, partner onboarding, risk model setup, partner analytics, and approvals. These features resulted in a seamless onboarding and evaluation process for new business partners and also optimized the risk evolution workflows.

Simplifying complexity with visuals

How we started

We facilitated workshops and actively engaged in open-ended questioning to refine project goals and requirements. Once we had a comprehensive understanding, we employed visual aids, such as diagrams and user flows to solidify these concepts and ensure alignment with all stakeholders.

These visuals were key for the whole team to get a better understanding of the system logics. It helped us identifying any possible flaw in the user and system workflows.

Close collaboration with engineers

Efficient data editing in a data-heavy platform presented a unique challenge. We collaborated with engineers to identify patterns between the front-end and back-end systems, resulting in a streamlined editing experience.

Defining User Journeys & Features

We established a concrete product vision, user journeys and an MVP feature set, ensuring the product addressed core user needs.

Future-Proof solutions

We designed all essential features for the initial version and created additional flows for future iterations. An extensible design system and flexible patterns allow for seamless integration of the new features.

Design

We identified scalability limitations in existing design patterns and explored new solutions for a more integrated and scalable system.

Collaboration

Recognizing the importance of effective collaboration with the external development team, we established biweekly meetings to facilitate smooth implementation of our designs.
